Day 1: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat
Welcome to Siem Reap. You are welcomed at the airport and transfer to the hotel to check in. In the afternoon. This afternoon, you will experience the remork (tuk tuk) to get to Angkor Wat – the symbol of Khmer people built from 12th century. Apsara Dancing dinner. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Angkor Thom – Ta Prohm
An optional tour to see sunrise over Angkor Wat. Return for breakfast at the hotel. Today you will visit to the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with Colums, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Continue to Ta Prohm to eye-witness the gigantic fig trees growing over the temple making an incredible sight. Early evening, you will be taken to a temple for a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks for happiness, prosperity and safety for your journey. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Kbal Spean – Banteay Srei
Heading out of town, you will go to Kbal Spean – one of the earliest Hindu pilgrimage site in Cambodia. A short 3km trek up the hill through the jungle with view of the plains and Kulen hills. On top, you will see the “River of 1,000 Lingas” which literally, there are thousands of lingas are carved in the riverbed. Picnic lunch at the waterfall. On the way back, you will visit the most intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei – “the citadel of Women”. Back to hotel and free for your own leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Siem Reap
Today you will embark the boat trip to Tonle Sap Lake – the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia, covering 250,000 hectares in the dry season. In monsoon season, Mekong river force the Tonle Sap River reverse its flow northwards back to the lake, spreading over the surrounding flood plain. You will visit Kompong Phluck, passing floating houses and impressive flooded forests and have a glimpse of local’s lives on the water. (From March to June, this route will be replaced by visiting the Chnong Kneas floating village due to dry season). Transfer to airport for your departure flight.

Day 5: Siem Reap – Vientiane
Arrival to Vientiane. On arrival in Vientiane Capital, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences. Overnight in VIENTIANE.

Day 6: Vientiane – City Tour
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, we explore Vientiane capital by visiting the major sights of the capital including the Museum of Arts, the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. . Enroute to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. In the afternoon, we continue visiting the rest of Vientiane by foot, including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. We pass by the major shopping area continuing to the Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao and Talad Kouadin where various goods are displayed for sale; including fresh food, household goods, souvenirs, textiles, gold, silver and antiques. We return to the Mekong Riverside in the late afternoon for observing the sunset. Overnight in VIENTIANE.

Day 7: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (Flight)
After breakfast, we board our short flight to Luang Prabang (QV101 @ 11:50 – 12:30). On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest, we visit the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We also have time to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 8: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves
Today, we enjoy a short-guided tour of the city’s oldest temple Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its sweeping low roofs, which represents the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then embark on a boat journey upstream along the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. En route, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local specialty of rice wine is produced. Once back in Luang Prabang city we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 9: Luang Prabang – Departure
After breakfast, free at leisure until time to transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
